Aim of the subject

Students should be familiar with the methods and technologies to access data from the programming code, and especially competitive access to data.

Knowledge and skills

Students will acquire knowledge required for connecting to various types of databases using different technologies and mechanisms.

Lectures content

Formatting data access applications, Connecting to databases, Retrieval of data using T-SQL language, Using stored procedures to access and modify data, Using transactions, Work in offline environment, Programmatic control of offline data, Creating and using XML to work with data, Creating and using Web services for data access.

Exercises content

Laboratory:

Exercises consist of solving various tasks on the computer to reinforce knowledge gained during the lectures. The exercises are: Connecting to a database, Retrieval of data from the database, Changing data in the database, Using stored procedures, Using transactions, Retrieving offline data, Modifying offline data, Using XML methods, Creating web services, Using web services, JDBC. Database Application Building Concepts. SQL.
