The course aims
Students should acquire knowledge about basic standards used in applying Internet technology.
Content
Introduction to HTML language, its basic elements and the way of writing tags and attributes. Creating forms and the use of new form elements defined in the specification of HTML5. Editing and positioning of HTML elements using CSS rules. Creating rich HTML pages using CSS transformations and transitions. Using the JavaScript language to interact with the DOM elements and reading and storing data within the XML object. Validation of the XML file according to the rules described in XMLSchema documents. The transformation of XML documents into HTML using XSLT and XPath language.

Minimum learning outcomes

  1. Create a static HTML page according to detailed specification.
  2. Select the appropriate CSS styles according to specification and apply them on an HTML page in order to design HTML elements.
  3. Apply Javascript language elements for the manipulation of DOM elements of HTML page.
  4. Apply jQuery, jQueryUI and Bootstrap library for manipulating DOM elements of HTML pages

Preferred learning outcomes

  1. Select the appropriate HTML elements for the purpose of making static HTML page according to an outline specification.
  2. Select the appropriate CSS styles according to specification and apply them on an HTML page for the purpose of possitioning HTML elements and interactive user interface.
  3. Evaluate the justification of the use of JavaScript libraries and implement the solution.
  4. Evaluate the justification of the use of jQuery, jQuery UI and Bootstrap library elements and implement the solution
