Knowledge catalogue was prepared in respect to SOCRATES recommendations in a way that relevant accreditation criterions for applied IT studies (i.e. ABET, ASIIN) were respected.

PERSONAL skills and knowledge:

  1. Presentation of information, ideas, problems and solutions to the users and team members
  2. Ability and willingness to adopt and accept new technologies and techniques as a part of lifelong learning process
  3. Teamwork
  4. Work in dynamic project environment

BASIC skills and knowledge:

  1. Use of English language in professional communication and when searching information and knowledge in literature.
  2. Ability to use mathematics as a tool to solve engineering problems
  3. Ability to use techniques, skills and modern engineering tools in practice
  4. Use of ordinary program tools and applications when preparing documents, tables, presentations and calculations
  5. Knowledge and understanding of company function in market economy and understanding basics of organization and management sciences
  6. Detailed understanding and knowledge of project management techniques
  7. Understanding the basics of PC networks

POFESSIONAL skills and knowledge:

  1. Programming and design of complex applications in object oriented program languages. Understanding of distributed applications paradigm, SOA and component programming.
  2. Ability to work as a member of project team when complex applications and IT solutions are produced
  3. Basic knowledge of IT security and data protection in the process of software development
  4. Use of standard algorithms, data structures and patterns in programming
  5. Knowledge of database concepts, knowledge of development and protection of complex databases on Microsoft and Oracle platforms
  6. Knowledge and understanding on Planning, Design and Management of IT systems in accordance with current methodologies (COBIT, MOF, ITIL…)
  7. Knowledge and understanding of structure and development patterns when dealing with IT systems in business (i.e. ERP, CRM, SMS…) and Business intelligence systems (i.e. OLAP, data mining…)
  8. Understanding the basics of PC architecture
  9. Understanding the basics of IT revision
